Genuine "B-Type" WW2 dated Battle of Britain period Leather FLYING HELMET New Zealand version. Made in NEW ZEALAND for pilots of the Royal New Zealand Air Force R. GENUINE WW2 era vintage Pattern 1941 New Zealand Government Contract manufactured Flying HELMET.

New Zealand did NOT HAVE an A. Mark (As we had NO "Air Ministry" here in NZ in either WW1 or WW2). EXTERNAL CONDITION = SUPERB, internally a little "scruffy" but not seen when mounted on a mannequin head. Fully 10% of ALL BATTLE OF BRITAIN AIRCREW were New Zealanders including the COMMANDER most credit with ultimate VICTORY in the epic Battle of Britain sir Keith Park.

Air Chief Marshal Sir Keith Rodney Park, GCB, KBE, MC & Bar, DFC (15 June 1892 6 February 1975) was a New Zealand soldier, First World War flying ace and Second World War Royal Air Force commander. He was in operational command during two of the most significant air battles in the European theatre in the Second World War, helping to win the Battle of Britain and the Battle of Malta. As they did not come with any provenance. One boot has some DAMAGE to the point clearly shown in my photographs. I believe that this could be easily repaired by any skilled Cobbler. The boots are otherwise in VERY GOOD USED Condition and probably served extensively during the early years of WW2. Any questions please message me. Add a map to your own listings.
