Des's tiki box (middle compartment). THIS IS A MEDIUM SIZED HEI MATAU (FISH HOOK) , with prominent barbs! This pendant is very hard to make to achieve the beautiful shape & finish shape on flat lap machine or a wheel shaped grinding machine , job of a real master carver! Made from most sought after colourful Marsden jade from South island of New Zealand. THIS PIECE OF JADE IS very nice with the most sought after yellow ochre inclusions and some colourful floating rivers reminiscent of the waters it comes from! Beautiful tactile high gloss finish and thick plaited waxed cord with adjustable knots ready to wear! X 2 X 1/3 INCHES.
