Original old "GENERAL MOTORS NEW ZEALAND LTD" motor vehicle badge. Made of thin metal, finely detail in relief to face, maker details on rear... AULD CO, COLUMBUS, OHIO ", 3 5/16" or 84mm across, over 1/8 or 3 1/2mm thick at the edges, mounting studs on rear have been cut, weighs 34g unpacked. I expect this badge was issued in 1926, or perhaps 1927? With great patina, just a tiny blemish to the upper left corner of the face and both mounting studs on the rear have been cut off.. A very rare original example of this early GENERAL MOTORS badge with the identical pictorial produced for foreign GM markets. I've seen a few with "AUSTRALIA" however, this is the only one I've ever seen for "NEW ZEALAND"!!!!!!!
