2013 50th Anni Doctor Who Collectible Coin Set, Niue 11 x 1/2oz Colorized Coins

Doctor Who first aired in 1963. The program has received recognition from critics and the public as being one of the finest British television series ever produced and is shown around the globe. This highly collectible set features coins struck from one half ounce of 999 Fine Silver, presented in a Doctor's fob watch. This coin set has been developed in collaboration between BBC Worldwide Australia & New Zealand Mint. Total Mintage for each 11 Doctor Coin design is 4,000. 3,000 of each coin design will be released as sets. The remaining coins will be released individually.

Each coin features a high quality colour reproduction of the Doctor. Behind him is a likeness of his nemesis engraved in 3-dimensional relief. This is surrounded by a finely engraved border design inspired by technology and time travel. Each coin features the Ian Rank-Broadley effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. This Limited Edition Doctor Who 1/2 oz Silver Coin Set is presented in a quintessential, silver-coloured fob watch case.

The case displays the entire 11 Doctor coin set and comes with a Certificate of Authenticity.
