Fossil Shark Teeth Carcharodon megalodon Cape Foulwind. This remarkable fossil specimen is a Carcharodon megalodon tooth, from the Miocene era, approximately 11.6 to 5.3 million years old. Measuring 87 mm on the longest edge, it was described by Agassiz in 1843 and is a true collector's item.
Acquired from K & M Brown from Kerang in 2007. Found in the Cape Foulwind Limestone formation in New Zealand, this fossil was collected at Cape Foulwind on the South Island.
