Lot of 9 WWII World War 2 Pocket Guides China New Zealand Guinea Caledonia Indie
Neat World War II memorabilia! All were printed by the War and Navy Department in Washington DC.
Each booklet is paperback and measures 5.25 x 4.25 inches. The New Zealand guide has some scratches/marks on the cover and near the spine.Pages have yellowed some with age. The New Caledonia guide has some scratches/marks on the cover and near the spine. The bottom right corner of the cover and first few pages have curled up some. The New Guinea guide has some scratches/marks on the cover and near the spine. There are a few creases on the cover and what appears to be a water spot at the bottom right corner and near the spine of the front cover.
The Panama guide has some scratches/marks on the cover and near the spine. Some of the front cover has peeled off near the bottom right corner. There is an indention at the back that goes through several pages, no pictures. The China guide has some scratches/marks on the cover and near the spine. There are a few creases on the back of the cover along with a larger black mark near the bottom.
The Netherlands: East Indies guide has some scratches/marks on the cover and near the spine as well as water damage. The darker brown spot at the bottom of the front cover seems to be a burn but it could be water damage.Pages have yellowed some with age and some of them have water damage near their tops. The bottom right corner of the cover and several pages have curled up and have a slight crease. The Burma guide has some scratches/marks on the cover and near the spine as well as water damage.
The Spanish Language guide has some scratches/marks on the cover and near the spine as well as water damage. Pages have yellowed some with age and some of them have water damage. There is no writing anywhere on the insides. There are also no vertical creases - it appears that these were never read.Too bad the previous owner didn't seal them up! This is an older collection and by no means are they perfect. We have done our best to describe each guide.
