New Zealand Greenstone Pounamu TOUCHSTONE

This is a naturally shaped New Zealand Greenstone beach stone sourced from the West Coast of the South Island. It is smooth, dense, and pleasant to the touch. The colour is a dark olive green/blue.

This would be great to have on your desk for therapy, or as a gift for a rock collector or lapidarist. NZ Greenstone comes in a wide range of colors from white, orange, black and a wide range of greens. It is best described as being of 1001 different colours and shades.

No two pieces are exactly alike. Because of its hardness and colour Maori revered pounamu (Greenstone) and used it for a range of tools, weapons, and personal adornment.
