New Zealand NEPHRITE JADE Block

This is a really beautiful block of quality New Zealand nephrite jade from the West Coast of the Southern Alps of New Zealand. It is translucent and the backlit outdoor image shows bright apple green edges. This would make superb pendants or earrings or left as it is, a great addition to a specimen collection. NZ Jade comes in a wide range of colors from white, orange, black and a wide range of greens.

No two items made from New Zealand Greenstone are exactly alike. The range of colours that are unique to New Zealand Greenstone sets it apart from the rest of the world. Revered by the Maori greenstone (pounamu) was used for a range of tools, weapons, and for personal adornment.
