New Zealand Nephrite Jade Specimen

This is a really beautiful block of quality New Zealand nephrite jade from the northern Coast of the Southern Alps of New Zealand. The colour is unusual, almost white with numerous splotches of mid green.

This is a dense hard fracture free stone that will take a brilliant polish and would make superb pendants or earrings or left as it is a great addition to a specimen collection. It could even be appreciated as a sculptural object.

The angular shape has great visual appeal and the combination of the smooth polished and rough natural faces adds a whole tactile dimension.
