This is an authentic medal. An impressed specimen with plenty of ribbon and in the box of issue. New Zealand Operational Service Medal instituted in 2002 awarded to New Zealanders who have undertaken operational service since 3 September 1945. The day after Japans surrender ceremony in Tokyo Bay, and the day after qualifying service towards medals for the Second World War (including the New Zealand War Service Medal) ended. A really nice looking medal.
