New Zealand The Queen's Service Medal Elizabeth II Prototype Unique

This medal is a prototype that was produced by Thomas Fattorini Ltd of Birmingham, at the request of the medal designer Ian Rank-Broadley, to see the quality of relief on the portrait. The portrait was eventually used for the New Zealand Gallantry Medal, the fourth level military decoration of the New Zealand armed forces, awarded for'acts of gallantry' while involved in war and warlike operational service. The reverse shows a design for The Queen's Service Medal.

This medal is from the personal collection of Ian Rank-Broadley and is probably unique. I cannot be held responsible for items lost in transit that have been sent uninsured.
