Original WWII New Zealand RNZAF Metal Brevet Pilot Wings & Backer. Very nice original and rare WWII era badge. Used for only a very short time this die stamped badge was made by Mayer & Keane Ltd.

Of Wellington, in New Zealand (the only maker of the wings). The wings are marked M&KW and 44, for the year of manufacture 1944. These were issued to active pilots in the Pacific Theater only, and very few of them, and worn only then and by the 14th Squadron during it's occupation of Japan.
