The bird takes its name from its beautiful tail feathers which resemble a Victorian lady's fan. Here the Fantail is depicted amongst tree fronds where it makes its nest. The design was created as part of the New Zealand Collection. This range was issued in 2003 exclusively for the New Zealand market. The plate measures 8¾ inches in diameter. The base has a Moorcroft backstamp and the Nib impressed year mark for 2003. This piece is in excellent condition with no damage or restoration. It is guaranteed best quality with no silver line or red dot. It comes with its Moorcroft presentation box.
