This scarce 1920s New Zealand "Cut Plug #10" litho tobacco tin, measuring 3 1/4" x 1", is in very good condition with no rust or dents and some minor age related paint chips and scrapes. This highly attractive bright blue tin features a detailed whimsical image of a white bull with a halter and a ring in his nose.
The tobacco was manufactured by the Gerard Husheer, National Tobacco company, Napier, New Zealand. The company advertised that their Cut Plug #10 and Navy Cut toasted tobaccos were the only tobaccos in New Zealand that did not injure the heart or throat and were recommended by medical authorities.
