This pendant features the notched carving pattern called Rauponga, a pattern of dog-tooth notches, often seen in Maori wood carving. Includes a plaited waxed braid cord with carved jade toggle, a traditional woven presentation case and a detailed description of the meaning of the carvings.Size: 125mm Long (4.9 Inches). The Toki is the adze blade was bound onto a wooden handle and used to carve the great canoes and details on the meeting houses.
