Opo Bay, Mayor Island, Bay of Plenty Region, North Island, New Zealand. Tuhualite is a very rare silicate mineral, forms sharp, well formed brownish-lilac to lilac crystals in a vuggy matrix.
There is one really beautiful crystal on the specimen. Specimen size: 1.2 x 1,1 x 1,1 cm. I'm a professional geologist/mineralogist, with analytical background.
