Presenting a superb vintage hand carved wooden Maori Tiki box. This delightful smaller-sized chest shaped box is beautifully decorated with a Maori Tiki face carved to the top of the domed hinged lid. The Tiki has been simply carved with engraved lines and detailed with inlaid paua shell to form the dazzling eyes. Hand carved tradition Maori patterns adorn the front face and sides of the box.

This well crafted box has an appealing rich dark finish with pleasing warm tones. This superb example would make a fine addition to any Tiki or Maori art collection! FINE VINTAGE MAORI TIKI BOX. SIZE: This piece measures approx 120mms in length x 70mms in width and stands 65mms tall.
