Depicting a New Zealand Maori Warrior CHIEF (The Huia bird feathers in his hair discern chiefly rank) wielding a Greenstone (Jade) Mere (club) with a Jade Hei Tiki (Ancestor's figure) hanging from his neck. Awarded to William John Robson who served in the Second Battalion of the Wellington Infantry Regiment Service # 82473. Formerly a farmhand in Wakefield, Nelson in New Zealand's Southern Island (AKA "The Mainland"). This unfortunate Kiwi ANZAC survived WW1 only to die of the Spanish Influenza in Tidworth Military Hospital on 26/3/1919. USED issued 120 year OLD antique item in EXCELLENT CONDITION for its age and authenticity.
