A great overview of one of the smaller Nations that represented service in the Allied cause during. New Zealand mustered a body of 240,000 service personnel: 140,00 of whom served Overseas whilst the remaining 100,000 represented Home Defense, something that was quite pressing since Imperial Japan occupied New Guinea and was air attacking Darwin and northern Queensland, Australia. Included are: Enamelled NZ "Son in the Service" Badge. Variations of this exist: HUSBAND, SONS. Reverse pin in sound and intact. Reverse lugs are intact, yet there is no " cotter pin". RARE "V" Volunteer Pin with Silver Fern. A short spanned collar pin that indicated enlistment before New Zealand imposed conscription in July of 1940.
